Caramel Custard (as it is known in India) or Flan (as it is known in Spanish-speaking countries and the Unites States) or Creme Caramel (as it is known in French-speaking countries) is one of my favorite desserts. Anyone who knows me knows that I love desserts, but I especially love this one because my mom used to make this a lot for me and my siblings (John and Rose) when we were kids. My mom is an amazing cook. She is also an intuitive cook, which means she doesn't always need exact recipes to make amazing food. It took me several attempts (and not all of them were successful), before I could get the caramel custard just right. So here is my adaptation of my mom's Caramel Custard recipe. Thank you, Mummy!
